AI visibility tools compared, from the merchant side of the price tag
Last reviewed
Short answer
The enterprise tier: Profound from $99/mo for ChatGPT-only tracking, Otterly from $29/mo for 15 prompts, Semrush's AI toolkit at $99/mo per domain, Ahrefs' AI Visibility Index at $199/mo, and Peec, whose prices are not published in fetchable form. All are prompt-tracking platforms for brands. Entitled, which we make, is a $29/mo Shopify app where tracking rides along with spec-based scoring and fixes. Different jobs, honestly compared below.
Disclosure, then the table
We build Entitled, the last row of this table, so read our row with the same skepticism you would read anyone's. Every price and scope below was read from each vendor's own pricing page on 29 August 2026, sources at the foot. Where a vendor does not publish something, the table says so instead of guessing.
The frame that keeps this comparison honest: these tools and our app are not substitutes. The enterprise platforms are measurement instruments for brands with marketing teams. Entitled is a Shopify app where measurement rides along with the fixing. The question is which job you are hiring for, and how much instrument your store's stage justifies.
The tools, from their own pages
Observed 29 August 2026. Prices move, and annual billing is doing quiet work in several of them.
| Tool | Entry price | What entry buys | Engines covered | Built for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Profound | $99/mo billed yearly | 50 prompts, ChatGPT only, 1 seat; $399/mo adds Perplexity and AI Overviews | Up to 9 engines at Enterprise | Brands and agencies doing AEO as a program |
| Peec AI | Not published in fetchable form | Four tiers, billed annually; daily tracking on all | ChatGPT, AI Mode, AI Overviews, Copilot, Perplexity, Gemini | SEO and content teams through enterprise |
| Otterly.AI | $29/mo | 15 prompts across 4 engines; $189/mo for 100 prompts and API | ChatGPT, AI Overviews, Perplexity, Copilot; Claude and Gemini as paid add-ons | Solo marketers up through agencies |
| Semrush AI toolkit | $99/mo per domain, annual | 25 prompts tracked daily, one domain, AI-readiness audit | ChatGPT, Google AI, Gemini, Perplexity | Businesses already inside Semrush |
| Ahrefs Brand Radar | $199/mo standalone index; custom prompts from $50/mo on paid plans | AI Visibility Index, 83 prompts a day; free checker exists | AI Overviews, AI Mode, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Copilot, Claude | Brands turning SEO programs into AEO programs |
| Entitled | Free score; Pro $29/mo | Catalog scored against the published feed specs, approved AI fixes, weekly sampled mention tracking | ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude | Shopify merchants, mostly without marketing teams |
What the enterprise tier is genuinely better at
Volume and breadth, without argument. Daily tracking across six or more engines, hundreds of prompts, API access, competitive benchmarking panels and agency seats are real capabilities, and the statistics of this measurement mean bigger query budgets buy legitimately narrower error bars. A brand spending real money on AEO content and PR needs that instrument, and Profound's research arm in particular has produced much of the public evidence this site cites.
If that is you, the honest recommendation is a real one: Otterly's $29 tier is the cheapest credible entry into pure prompt tracking, Semrush makes sense if you already live there, and Profound is the deepest program tool. None of them will fix a product title, which is the seam this comparison turns on.
What the merchant tier is for
A store doing eight thousand a month does not need six engines tracked daily. It needs to know whether assistants can read its products, what to fix first, and whether the trend is moving. That is a different product: scoring against the published specs, fixes applied with approval to native fields, and sampled weekly tracking framed as directional, because that is what sampling honestly is.
That is what we built, and the free tier exists so the measurement question costs nothing to answer: run the score, run the manual audit, and only then decide whether any paid instrument, ours or theirs, earns its monthly fee against your numbers.
Frequently asked questions
Is Entitled a Profound alternative?
Not honestly, no. Profound is a measurement platform for brands running AEO programs; Entitled is a Shopify app where scoring and fixing product data is the core and sampled tracking rides along. A merchant outgrowing Entitled's tracking graduates to Otterly or Profound, and we would say so.
Why does Peec have no price in the table?
Their pricing page does not render numeric prices to a standard fetch, and our rule is publishing only what we read at source. Their tiers and engine coverage are listed; the numbers are theirs to show you at peec.ai.
Are the free checkers from Semrush and Ahrefs enough?
As a first taste, yes, and we link the manual method that costs nothing at all. Free checkers run limited prompts on their schedule. The moment you care about trend rather than snapshot, you are in sampled-tracking territory, whatever tool you choose.
Do any of these tools improve visibility, or only measure it?
The enterprise platforms measure and advise; execution stays with your team. Entitled is the inverted bet: execution on product data with measurement attached. Neither approach can buy placement anywhere, because no assistant sells it.
